One of the best ways to save money is to plan in advance how you’ll spend it — break up your budget into specific types of expenses, set goals, and monitor your progress toward them. PerkStreet’s new envelopes budgeting tool makes this easy – all from the convenience of your PerkStreet account. You’ll have to hurry, though. Only a limited number of customers will be given access to the initial free beta. We’ll be asking for their feedback to continue to improve the product. Now you can earn perks on debit, and find additional ways to save!
Want to be one of the first to test out our new envelopes budgeting tool? Sign up now! This is a free beta test to help us get feedback from our community on what you like about the tool, and how it can improve.
We plan to add more people to the system over the coming weeks as we update it. Unfortunately, this is only open to customers, since you need to log into our online banking interface to access it.
Why Use Envelopes?
Ask any personal financial advisor what the best way to get people to live within their means is, and you’ll get an overwhelmingly consistent response: Envelopes Budgeting.
With envelopes, you can set both long-term and short-term goals. Unlike other budgeting software options, which force you to look at your spending in the rear-view mirror, envelopes budgeting helps you set spending goals and track towards them. Whether you use it to manage your monthly bills, save for future expenses or pay down debt — this tool’s simplicity helps ensure you’ll be able to stick to your goals.
Proactive Budgeting Customized for You
If you’ve never budgeted using the envelopes system, don’t worry. The tool not only makes it easy to learn envelopes budgeting, it’s also flexible enough to make changes along the way — customized just for you.
Easily create planned monthly expense envelopes like Food, Rent, and Clothes, or label them however you please! You can also make envelopes for long-term goals. Set and reach debt pay-off goals with envelopes like Student Loan, Credit Cards, or Mortgage. Or, create savings goal envelopes for future expenses like your Vacation, Holiday Gifts or Wedding. It even allows you to track transfers out of PerkStreet and into external savings accounts.
