Race Around in a Mercedes, Audi or Cadillac
Join: FREE | Rent: $7 per hour (Nationwide)
Car sharing company RelayRides allows members to rent cars they own and take the cars of other owners out as well. It’s perfect for people who don’t need a car every day. The kicker? You don’t need to have a car to participate; you can sign up solely as a driver.
Because the cars in the RelayRides fleet are owned by private individuals, signing up means access to Caddies, Audis, BMWs, and, like in my neighborhood, even convertible Mercedes Benz’.
“Our fleet is growing rapidly, so the kinds of luxury vehicles you can drive through RelayRides are only limited by the types of cars in your city,” said Founder Shelby Clark when we reached out. “Our fleet offers the kind of selection only a mass of private owners can deliver.”

Share a Dodge Viper, Ferrari or Porsche
Join: $250 | Rent: $990 for 3 days (Greater Chicago Area)
The name of the Chicago-based Exotic Car Share is not a misnomer by any means. This car sharing club gives members access to top-of-the-line exotic sports cars, including an Alfa Romeo Quadrafoglio, a Corvette Grand Sport, a Dodge Viper GTS Coupe and a Ferrari 355 F1 Spider.
Because these cars are so unique, each rental comes with a 30- to 60-minute orientation and test driving session. This is really the top of the line when it comes to driving something you cannot afford to own. On the down side, it’s footprint is small, so if you don’t live in Illinois, you’ll have to check out one of the other options.

Share a Dodge Viper, Ferrari or Porche
Join: $85 | Rent: $10 per hour (Nationwide)
Zipcar is a really unique, publicly traded company that allows members to rent cars parked locally by the hour or day. This is an ultra-convenient option for people who only need a car occasionally.
Here’s a secret: Zipcar has the awesome BMW 328xi in its fleet! And even better, the BMWs and Minis frequently include very little branding by Zipcar, so if you’re driving around in one, no one will be the wiser about who owns it.
“If you want to drive a luxury vehicle you can join Zipcar and have access to our entire fleet of cars in all of the markets we serve,” said PR Associate Jessica Margolis-Pineo when we called. “With over 30 makes and models of vehicles — ranging from BMWs and Mini Coopers to hybrids and SUVs — Zipcar has a vehicle to suit your needs.”
If you need a BMW, she’s darn right they do!

Go Clubbing in a Tesla, Bentley or Lambo
Join: $999 plus $150 per month (California and Nevada)
Alright so this one isn’t all that cheap, but we had to include Club Sportiva, which allows users to rent some of the rarest exotic cars around. They have an Audi R8, an Aston Martin DB9 Volante — and those are among their cheaper cars. Some in their fleet, like the Ferrari 458 Italia, sell for over $270,000.
If you’re a member of the Las Vegas clubhouse, for example, you could get into a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, which sells for $350,000. Wow.

Ride in Uber Style, Let the Driver Worry about Traffic
Join: FREE | Ride: $7 plus $3.75 per mile (Major Cities Nationwide)
With this one, the driver comes included. That’s right. Thanks to Uber, all you have to do is pop open a mobile app, let the drivers know where you are, and a black car like a Lincoln or a Cadillac will spin around in minutes to pick you up.
The driver gets out, greets you by name like you pay him daily and opens the door for you and your guests. When your ride is over, you’re billed automatically through the Uber app, so money doesn’t even have to change hands. It’s just “Thanks, driver!” and you’re off like a shot!
