PerkStreet is a Good Thing in Utah

Good Things UtahI really enjoy traveling to new places, and earlier this week I got the chance to visit Salt Lake City for a guest appearance on Good Things Utah on KTVX, the local ABC affiliate there.

I was really nervous — my first time on live TV — but everyone at the studio and especially the GTU ladies were super friendly and helpful. After all my nervousness and lack of sleep leading up to the show, in the end it felt just like having a conversation with friends. A very fast conversation while wearing more makeup than I usually do, but still relaxed and fun.

How did I do?

I love letting people know that PerkStreet gives the average American family $600 a year. That’s without jumping through hoops, paying fees, keeping a minimum balance or getting into debt. Every time I talk to people about what they would do with an extra $600 a year, and how they might imagine their lives without being mired in debt, their faces light up. How many people do you know who work in financial services who get excited to help people and feel like they’re making a positive change in people’s lives? Well, besides the PerkStreet staff, of course.

My only regret is that it was such a short trip, and that I spent more time on planes than I did enjoying the city. My friend Jenny lives in Salt Lake City and sent me a ton of great restaurant suggestions, none of which I was able to visit. I didn’t even have time to take any pictures outside of the studio, but check out our Facebook album for my photos from the plane!

Great interview. Dave Ramsey’s endorsement got me interested. I’m still on the fence, but your interview is leaning me toward PerkStreet. Thanks!
